How much do the implant abutment and crown cost?
Billed under CDT D6057, D6058. Compiled by Kindred Works LLC editorial.
National cost
We publish no price for this yet.
Not because it is free, and not because it is unknowable, but because none of the sources we have read publishes a figure against this specific procedure. Rather than derive one and present it as a published price, this page says what we looked for and what would let us publish. The detail is in the note below.
What is included
The connector that screws into the implant post and the crown that sits on it.
What is not
The implant post itself, and any surgery.
The billing codes
D6057 custom fabricated abutment, D6058 abutment-supported porcelain/ceramic crown.
Why the number varies
Often billed months after the post, once the implant has integrated, which is why patients are surprised by a second invoice. NOT PRICED as a pair. The closest published figure we have read is a CROWN-ONLY range of $488 to $3,254 depending on material, cited below, and it excludes the abutment entirely. A crown range is not an abutment-and-crown price, so we cite it as what it is and publish no figure for the pair.
Costs in your state
No state index is published yet. A state gets a page once at least 3 individually sourced figures back it, and none has reached that bar, so the figure above is national. See the methodology for how states get built.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the crown billed separately from the implant?
The post has to fuse to the bone before the crown can be fitted, typically over several months, so the restoration is a separate stage of treatment with its own codes and its own invoice.

These back the figures quoted in the note above. None of them prices this procedure, which is why this page publishes no range.
